This advanced-level training explores the integration of Play Therapy, Sandtray, and EMDR to support complex trauma survivors across all eight phases of EMDR. Participants will gain insight into the therapeutic benefits of combining symbolic and experiential methods to facilitate emotional expression, somatic processing, and narrative healing. The workshop will highlight how playful and metaphor-rich interventions can align with EMDR’s structured phases to deepen clinical work. Through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and case discussions, clinicians will learn to apply Play Therapy and Sandtray techniques for history taking, resourcing, target identification, desensitization, installation of positive cognitions, body scans, and closure. Participants will also develop skills in using bilateral stimulation creatively, and conceptualizing cases through an integrative lens that honors the complexity of trauma and the developmental needs of diverse clients.
